This work is crafted to be worn in interchangeable sections. It explores the concept of balance through contradictions. It was inspired by the fairytale of Sleeping Beauty. Drawing also from the Japanese Cherry Blossoms Festival, Hanami, which echoes an ancient cultural belief in the short, transitory nature of youth and life .Exhibiting at the on line gallery at the CGS in their "UnPolished" Show. Also at Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham in their "By Design" show.

Sensuality in Sleeping

A beautiful image of serenity‚ entangled by beautiful but unacessable twigs and branches.

Sensuality Sleeping (back)

Back detail‚ showing a thicket of twigs suspending a flower bead made with dicro.

Sensuality in Sleeping (front)

A cascade of Oriental Cherry Blossoms.
In Japan the beauty of these blossoms and the finally as they fall from the trees like snow‚ is a celebration of the cycle of life.

Sensuality in Sleeping (side)

The twigs create an untouchable or unobtainable element in a beautiful or desirable image.

Sensuality in Sleeping

This necklace was made in interchangeable lengths‚ and is connected by magnetic sterling clasps. I have used tiny Japanese red seed beads‚ small sterling silver beads‚ and all other are flame worked glass made by myself.
